先に事故を起こした運転手が現場から逃走し、警察がその後、運転していたとみられる外国人の身柄を確保して事故の状況などを詳しく調べています。
The driver who caused the accident fled the scene, and the police later detained a foreign national believed to have been driving, and are now investigating the details of the accident.
13日午後7時40分すぎ、鹿沼市の東北自動車道の下り線で、事故を起こして止まっていた乗用車に後ろから走ってきた乗用車が衝突する事故がありました。
At around 7:40 p.m. on the 13th, on the outbound lane of the Tohoku Expressway in Kanuma City, there was an accident where a car that had stopped after being involved in a previous accident was hit from behind by another car.
この事故で、後続車に乗っていた横浜市の会社員の36歳の父親と、6歳と2歳の男の子のあわせて3人が病院に運ばれ、このうち、2歳の男の子が頭を強く打って意識不明の重体となっています。
In this accident, three people—a 36-year-old father who is a company employee from Yokohama City and his two sons, aged 6 and 2—who were in the following car were taken to the hospital. Of these, the 2-year-old boy is in critical condition and unconscious after suffering a severe head injury.
警察によりますと、先に事故を起こした車は右側のガードレールに衝突して道路上に止まり、後ろから走ってきた車が衝突したということで、先に事故を起こした車の運転手は現場に車を置いて逃走したということです。
According to the police, the car that first caused the accident crashed into the guardrail on the right side and stopped on the road. Then, a car coming from behind collided with it. The driver of the car that first caused the accident abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled.
警察はその後、栃木県内で、運転していたとみられる男の外国人の身柄を確保し、事故の状況などを詳しく調べています。
The police later apprehended a foreign man, believed to have been driving, in Tochigi Prefecture and are investigating the details of the accident.
現場は、栃木都賀ジャンクションから鹿沼インターチェンジの間の下り線で、14日未明まで4時間余りにわたって通行止めとなりました。
The scene was on the outbound lane between Tochigi-Tsuga Junction and Kanuma Interchange, and the road was closed for over four hours until the early hours of the 14th.
