Amid ongoing protests in the UK against accepting refugees and other related issues, a large-scale demonstration took place in the capital, London, on the 13th. Some protesters clashed with the police, resulting in arrests and creating a tense situation.

According to British media, more than 100,000 people participated in the demonstration. People waving the British flag and holding up placards with messages such as Kick them out and Protect the children gathered in the city center.

Some of them clashed with police officers who were on security duty, and according to the police, 25 people were arrested and 26 police officers were also injured.

On the other hand, it is reported that several thousand people also gathered to oppose these protest demonstrations, and there were scenes of people marching through the streets while displaying banners with slogans such as Resist the far right.

The British government has indicated a policy of gradually abolishing hotels used by people applying for refugee status, and is struggling to deal with the expanding protests.

However, in July this year, a man from Ethiopia staying at a hotel in Essex in the southeast was prosecuted for sexually harassing a girl, such as trying to kiss her and touching her body. This incident triggered protest demonstrations around the hotel.

In addition, demonstrations spread in front of other hotels across the UK where people applying for refugee status are staying.

And then, on the 13th, it developed into a large-scale protest in the capital, London, after calls from activist Tommy Robinson, who is said to have influence among far-right groups.

It is also reported that American entrepreneur Elon Musk gave an online speech at a gathering organized by Mr. Robinson, claiming that the large-scale and uncontrollable influx of immigrants is a factor in the destruction of the UK.
