In none of the incidents has the reason why Japanese people were attacked been made clear, and among Japanese residents living in the area, concerns about safety remain unresolved.

The Japanese government is strongly urging the Chinese government to prevent a recurrence and ensure safety.

On the 18th, the Japanese school in Shenzhen, which the boy who was killed in the incident attended, is closed for the entire day as a safety measure.

In addition, at the Japanese school, in cooperation with the Consulate-General of Japan in Guangzhou, the school bus routes have been reviewed to ensure safety during commuting times, and training is also being conducted to confirm how to respond to suspicious individuals.

After the incident, more security cameras were installed around the school, and emergency reporting devices that connect directly to the police were also set up.

Additionally, security has been strengthened, such as by newly establishing a guard post where police personnel are stationed at all times.
