石破総理大臣、公明党の斉藤代表、立憲民主党の野田代表による3党の党首会談は19日正午から国会内で行われ、各党の幹事長も同席しました。

この中で石破総理大臣は、社会保障制度について税制も含めた将来像の議論を行うことや、所得に応じて給付や所得税の控除を行う「給付付き税額控除」をめぐり、政策責任者を中心に協議体を立ち上げ、安定財源の確保策なども含めた制度設計上の課題を整理すること、それに、ガソリンの暫定税率廃止について与野党合意に沿って協議を重ねていくことを提案しました。
In this context, Prime Minister Ishiba proposed holding discussions on the future of the social security system, including the tax system; establishing a working group led by policy officials to discuss tax credits with benefits, which provide benefits or income tax deductions according to income, and to organize issues related to system design such as securing stable financial resources; and, in addition, continuing discussions in line with the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties regarding the abolition of the provisional gasoline tax rate.
また、政治改革については成果を得られるよう新しい政権に引き継ぎたいという考えを示しました。

これに対し、野田氏は「給付付き税額控除」の制度設計について「速やかに協議を始めるべきだ」と述べました。

そして、3党で新たな協議体を設け、政策責任者どうしで検討を進めていくことで一致し、来週にも協議を始める方向で調整を進めていくことになりました。
