Regarding the Japanese governments decision to postpone the recognition of Palestine as a state at the timing of the UN General Assembly, the representative of the Palestinian Interim Self-Government Authoritys mission in Japan stated, We want Japan to stand on the side of the victims and recognize the State of Palestine, appealing to the Japanese government to recognize Palestine as a state.
パレスチナをめぐっては、21日、イギリスやカナダなど4か国が相次いで国家として承認しましたが、日本政府は、今回の国連総会でのタイミングでの国家承認を見送る方針を明らかにしています。
