Mr. Niinami, who resigned as the Representative Director of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, is currently holding a press conference in Tokyo with Mr. Iwai Mutsuo, the Senior Deputy Representative Director who will temporarily take over his duties, starting from 4:30 PM.
冒頭、岩井筆頭副代表幹事は30日、経済同友会で理事会を開き、新浪氏の処遇を議論した所、参加者の見解の相違が大きく、意見集約が難しい状況になったと明らかにし、その状況を新浪氏に伝えた所みずから辞任するという話があったと説明しました。

Mr. Niinami, who resigned as chairman of Suntory Holdings following a police investigation into supplements, expressed his intention to leave the decision regarding his position as representative director of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives to the association itself and had been refraining from activities.
そして、同友会では、複数の理事らで構成する「会員倫理審査会」を設置し、処遇を検討した結果、審査会としては「代表幹事の辞任を求める勧告が相当だ」とする見解をまとめていました。

捜査関係者によりますと、アメリカに住む新浪氏の知人から日本では規制されている大麻成分の「THC」を含む製品が福岡県内に送られていて、北九州市にある門司税関から情報提供を受けた福岡県警が捜査を始めたということです。
