A university in Scotland, UK, returned the remains of three Ainu people to Japan on the 30th of last month.

北海道の
釧路市などから
持って
行ったもので、1913
年にイギリスの
人類学者が
大学に
渡しました。
The remains were brought from places such as Kushiro City in Hokkaido, and were handed over to the university by a British anthropologist in 1913.

This is the first time the UK has returned the remains of Ainu people.

大川勝理事長は「アイヌの

Chairman Masaru Okawa of the Hokkaido Ainu Association said, When I think about how the Ainu people must have felt in a foreign country, I feel deeply moved.
