A large-scale fire broke out on the 14th at a chemical factory in Illinois, Midwestern United States.
Fire extinguishing is expected to take several days
The fire broke out at a chemical factory in Rockton, a city in northern Illinois.
This factory is the largest production base for machine oil in the United States, and the flames burn to the products and buildings in the factory, and occasionally explode and continue to burn violently.
According to the Associated Press, one firefighter has been slightly injured so far, but all the dozens of employees in the factory at the time of the fire have evacuated.
Evacuation orders have been issued to residents living within a radius of about 3 kilometers from the factory.
There is a river near the site, and in order to prevent oil and chemicals from flowing in from the factory, the local fire department has stopped fire extinguishing activities by discharging water and is waiting for the combustibles in the factory to burn out.
Fire extinguishing is expected to take several days
So far, the cause of the fire is unknown
