Famipay is a service that allows cashless payment through a smartphone application, and as of the end of last year, it had been downloaded approximately 6.5 million times.
Due to a concentration of user access and system problems with this ”Famipay,” the service has been suspended at restaurants and drugstores, although it can be used at Famima stores and for online payments.
It is believed that this is due to the rapid increase in the number of users of Famipay, which has been running a campaign since the 19th to give back points equivalent to half the amount of money spent on purchases.
The glitch has been occurring since the 26th, and there is no prospect of resumption.
