Bologna’s Leaning Tower could ”suddenly collapse”; city plans measures

The city is drawing up a plan to protect citizens in case of the ``sudden and unexpected collapse’’ of the Leaning Tower of Garisenda, which was built nearly 1,000 years ago in the center of Bologna, Italy.
市の発表によると、塔が倒壊した場合に備えて金属製の防護壁を設置し、がれきによる周辺の建物や人への被害を防ぐ計画
According to the city’s announcement, the plan is to install a metal protective wall in case the tower collapses to prevent damage to surrounding buildings and people from the debris.
We also set restricted areas that cannot be entered.
防護柵は地面に固定し、やはり金属でできた特製の落石防護ネットを取り付けます
The protective fence will be fixed to the ground and a special rockfall protection net made of metal will be attached.
