The amount of water at Iguazu Falls, a world heritage site located on the border of Brazil and Argentina and famous as one of the world’s three largest waterfalls, has increased more than 16 times due to heavy rain, and the promenade at the tourist spot has been closed.

　現地げんちメディアによりますと、ブラジル南部なんぶパラナ州しゅうの豪雨ごううの影響えいきょうで、ブラジルとアルゼンチンの国境こっきょうにある「イグアスの滝たき」の水量すいりょうが通常時つうじょうじに比くらべて16倍以上ばいいじょうに増加ぞうかしているということです

According to local media, the amount of water at Iguazu Falls, located on the border between Brazil and Argentina, has increased more than 16 times compared to normal times due to heavy rains in the state of Paraná in southern Brazil.

　滝たきを監視かんししているパラナ州しゅうの電力会社でんりょくがいしゃによりますと、通常つうじょうの水量すいりょうが毎秒まいびょうおよそ150万まんリットルのところ、現在げんざいは毎秒まいびょう2400万まんリットル以上いじょうの水量すいりょうが確認かくにんされています

According to the Paraná state power company that monitors the falls, the normal flow of water is approximately 1.5 million liters per second, but the current flow rate is over 24 million liters per second.

　観測開始以来かんそくかいしいらい、2番目ばんめに多おおい水量すいりょうだということです

This is the second highest amount of water since observations began.

　絶景ぜっけいスポットとして知しられる遊歩道ゆうほどう「悪魔あくまの喉笛のどぶえ」の一部いちぶは水没すいぼつし、一時閉鎖いちじへいさされました

Part of the ”Devil’s Throat” promenade, known as a scenic spot, was submerged in water and temporarily closed.

　一部いちぶの観光船かんこうせんツアーも中止ちゅうしになりました

　また、増水ぞうすいの影響えいきょうで下流かりゅうのパラグアイ側がわでは洪水こうずいが起おきていて、30日にちまでに少すくなくとも60世帯せたいが避難ひなんしたということです
