いらなくなったデニムを回収し、リサイクルして作られた「再生デニム」が今日から全国のデパートで販売されます。　
"Recycled denim", which is made by collecting and recycling unwanted denim, will be sold in department stores nationwide starting today.
材料となるのは、去年回収した4500本相当のデニム。　
The material is about 4500 pieces of denim that have been collected since last year.
不要な部分を取り除き、繊維を綿状に戻して、新しい綿と混ぜて作られた糸からデニム生地を作ります。　
Denim fabric is made from yarn made by removing unwanted parts, returning the fibers to cotton form, and mixing them with new cotton.
「再生デニム」にはこうしてリサイクルされた綿が6％使用されています。　
"Recycled denim" contains 6% recycled cotton in this way.
「1年がかりで我々でしっかり再生した。そういったところにストーリーというか、思いを感じていただいて手に取ってもらえたら非常にうれしく思います」
