アメリカのIT大手アップルが始めた預金サービスへの入金額が、わずか3カ月で1兆4000億円以上に達したことが分かりました。
アップルは2日、アメリカで発行しているクレジットカードの利用者に向けた預金サービスへの入金額が、100億ドル＝1兆4300億円を超えたと発表しました。
普通預金にもかかわらず年利が4.15％と高く設定され、iPhoneの財布アプリと連動する利便性などから、利用者が急増しています。
2000年に日本初のネット銀行として誕生した、PayPay銀行＝旧ジャパンネット銀行の預金額は1兆6000億円ほどで、アップルはわずか3カ月で同じ水準に達した形です。
アップルは「節約方法を提供し、利用者から評価を得られた」とコメントし、日本を含めた世界展開については言及していません。
