新型コロナウイルスのワクチン接種報道を巡り、BPO（放送倫理・番組向上機構）はNHKに「放送倫理違反があったと判断する」という意見書を公表しました。　
Regarding the corona virus vaccination report, BPO (Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization) issued a written opinion to NHK stating that it had determined that there had been a violation of broadcast ethics.
NHK「ニュースウオッチ9」の5月15日の放送で、ワクチン接種後に亡くなった人の遺族を新型コロナウイルスに感染して亡くなった人の遺族と受け取られるような伝え方をしました。　
On NHK's "News Watch 9" broadcast on May 15, the message conveyed is that the families of those who died after receiving the vaccine are considered the families of those who died after being infected with the coronavirus.
NHKは翌日に番組内で謝罪しています。　
NHK apologized for its programming the next day.
BPOの放送倫理検証委員会は「事実を正確に伝えるというニュース・報道番組の基本を逸脱していた」として、放送倫理違反があったと判断しました。
The BPO's Broadcasting Ethics Verification Committee determined that there was a violation of broadcasting ethics, stating that the program "deviates from the basics of news programming and reporting, i.e. is to convey the truth accurately."
NHKは「遺族の心情を大きく傷付ける結果を招いたという指摘を真摯に受け止める」とコメントしたうえで、再発防止に努めるとしています。
NHK said in a statement: “We seriously consider indications that this incident has led to a situation that has seriously hurt the feelings of the bereaved family” and they will work to prevent it from happening again.
