There is a growing movement to make SDG the subject of free study during the summer break
東北三大祭りの一つ、青森ねぶた祭のねぶたは、6日間の祭りの後、引き取られるもの以外はすべて解体され、廃棄処分となります。　
After the six-day festival, all the Nebuta floats of the Aomori Nebuta Festival, one of the three major festivals in the Tohoku region, are dismantled and disposed of, except for those that are taken back. 　
ごみの量はねぶた1台で大型トラック2台分にもなるということです。　
The amount of garbage is equivalent to two large trucks for one Nebuta.
東京都内で開かれたイベントでは、小学生が廃棄されたねぶたの和紙を材料に、ランプづくりに挑戦しました。　
At an event held in Tokyo, elementary school students tried their hand at making lamps from discarded Nebuta washi.
和紙をカッターで切ったり手でちぎったりした後、台紙に貼り付け、お気に入りのデザインに仕上げます。　
After cutting Japanese paper with a cutter or tearing it by hand, the paper is pasted onto a backing paper to create your favorite design.
「なんでこういうのに使い道がなくて、捨てられてしまうんだろうという思いが結構あった」
