世界最高齢のゴリラが66歳の誕生日を迎え、記録を更新しました。　
The world's oldest gorilla celebrated its 66th birthday and set a record. 　
ゆっくりと歩くのはドイツ・ベルリンの動物園で飼育されている雌のゴリラ「ファトゥ」。　
Walking slowly is Fatu, a female gorilla kept at a zoo in Berlin, Germany.
13日に世界最高齢の記録を自ら更新する66歳の誕生日を迎え、動物園のスタッフから野菜や果物のプレゼントが贈られました。　
On the 13th, it celebrated the 66th birthday, breaking the world's oldest record itself, and was presented with gifts of vegetables and fruits by the zoo staff.
ゴリラの平均寿命は40年と言われていて「ファトゥ」は、かなりのご長寿。
The average lifespan of a gorilla is said to be 40 years, making "Fatu" a very long-lived individual.
すでに歯はないため、柔らかい果物などをゆっくりとそしゃくして誕生日プレゼントを楽しんでいました。　
Since it has no teeth, it chews slowly on soft fruits and enjoys its birthday presents.
動物園によりますと、ファトゥは昔、フランスの酒場で船乗りに代金として受け渡され、最終的に現在のベルリン動物園が購入したという数奇な運命をたどったゴリラです。
According to the zoo, Fatu is a gorilla that had a strange fate in the past, being given to a sailor in a French tavern as payment for his services, and was eventually purchased by the current Berlin Zoo.
