能登半島地震が起きて「ひずみ」がどこに新たに加わったかを専門家が分析し、今月1日より前と比べて地震が起こりやすくなっている地域があることが分かりました。
Experts analyzed where new "stresses" were added after the Noto Peninsula earthquake and found that some areas were more prone to earthquakes before the 1st of this month.

東北大学の遠田晋次教授は1日の地震の後、どこに地下の岩盤にかかる力＝「ひずみ」が新たに加わったか分析しました。　
Professor Shinji Toda of Tohoku University analyzed where new forces (tensions) were applied to the underground rock after the earthquake on the 1st.
暖色系の色の場所は断層がより動きやすくなった、つまり地震が起きやすくなったと考えられる場所です。
Places with warm colors are places where faults are more likely to occur, which means earthquakes are more likely to occur.
「断層が大きく動いたので、佐渡沖合の海底の活断層に若干の『ひずみ』加わった可能性が高い。西は志賀町沖合の活断層」　
“As the fault line moves significantly, it is likely that some 'strain' has been added to the active fault line on the ocean floor off the Sado coast. To the west is an active fault line off the coast of Shika Town."
遠田教授は、このような場所では地震の分布も広がる可能性があり、地震活動がどのように変わっていくのか注意深く見ていく必要があるとしています。
Professor Toda said that the distribution of earthquakes may widen in such places and that changes in seismic activity need to be carefully monitored.
