東京大学で新型コロナウイルスの影響で去年、入学式に出られなかった2年生のために1年越しの歓迎式典が開かれました。

東京・文京区の東京大学では、午前11時半からの歓迎式に学部の2年生約300人が参加しました。

式典は26日と27日で8回開かれ、約2800人が参加します。

去年、入学式ができなかった学部と大学院の2年生が対象です。

参加者は1週間前と当日の2回、大学から送られた検査キットで新型コロナの検査をすることが義務付けられています。　
Participants were asked to test for the new strain of corona virus twice with a test kit sent by the university, once a week before and once on the day of the event.
自分も感染した藤井総長は「どれだけ気を付けても感染のリスクは身近にあることを痛感した」と話しました。　
Secretary-General Fujii, who was also infected with the virus, said, "I realize that the risk of infection is close no matter how careful we are."
この式典は当初、4月末に開催する予定でしたが、緊急事態宣言が出ていたために延期されていました。
