アメリカのSNS大手「ツイッター社」が、イーロン・マスク氏が設立した別の企業と合併し、消滅していたことが分かりました。
アメリカ・テスラの最高経営責任者イーロン・マスク氏は、去年10月にツイッター社を買収しましたが、今月4日にツイッター側がカリフォルニア州の裁判所に提出した書類は、「ツイッター社はX社に合併され存在しない」としています。
合併の理由など詳細は明らかになっていませんが、X社はマスク氏が保有する企業だということです。
マスク氏は11日、「X」と1文字だけツイートしました。
自身が率いる宇宙開発企業「スペースX」など、マスク氏は「X」を好むことで知られていますが、去年10月には、「ツイッター社の買収はあらゆる機能を持つアプリ『X』の制作を推し進めるものだ」とツイートしていました。
