フグの本場、山口県下関市で今シーズンの初競りが行われました。　
The first auction of the season was held in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, the hometown of pufferfish.
競りに掛けられたのは天然ものトラフグ80キロと養殖1トンです。　
Up for auction are 80 kg of wild tiger puffer fish and 1 ton of farmed puffer fish.
今年は海水温の上昇により、天然ものの水揚げは去年の半分以下だということです。　
This year, due to rising sea temperatures, the number of wild fish caught is less than half compared to last year.
競りは競り人が仲買人の指を握って値段を決める、伝統の「袋競り」で行われました。　
The auction is held in the traditional “pocket auction” style, where the auctioneer holds the middleman's hand and determines the price.
天然ものの最高値は1キロあたり2万2000円と、去年を6000円上回りました。　
The highest price for wild fish is 22,000 yen/kg, 6,000 yen higher than last year.
「コロナウイルスの影響を受けないシーズンが久しぶりに4年ぶりに送れるということで、非常に期待しております」

競り落とされたトラフグは関東や関西に向けて出荷されます。
