出版大手、KADOKAWAの元会長、角川歴彦被告(81)は、東京大会のスポンサー選定で便宜を受けたことの謝礼などとして、組織委員会の元理事高橋治之被告(81)に合わせておよそ6900万円を渡したとして贈賄の罪に問われ、無罪を主張しています。

19日の裁判で検察は、高橋元理事側への支払いについて「部下の元専務などから説明を受けたことはないとする元会長の主張は虚偽であり、共謀が認められる」と主張しました。
