IOC（国際オリンピック委員会）はすべての参加国の選手らを対象にワクチンの無償提供を発表していました。
日本人選手への接種は早ければ来月1日から始まることが大会関係者への取材で分かりました。
大会に向けた最終調整などを考慮し、来月中に2度の接種を終わらせたい考えです。
また、来日する選手以外の関係者は7万8000人程度となる見通しで、当初1万人必要としていた医療従事者は3割ほど削減できるということです。
