新年度が始まり多くの企業で入社式が行われるなか、JR東日本では外国人技能実習生たちの開講式が行われました。
「仕事を学ぶために全力を尽くします。どうぞよろしくお願いします」
JR東日本にはタイ出身の6人の技能実習生が入社し、3年間、鉄道車両の検査や整備技術などを学びます。
「特に鉄道でも軌道・電気・車両といった分野ではやはり人手不足問題というのは非常に大きな課題と認識しております」
政府は、即戦力となる外国人の在留資格である「特定技能【1号】」に鉄道や自動車運送業など4分野を加える方針で、追加されればさらに5年間就労できます。
JR東日本は、本人の意向と合致すれば引き続き就労できるよう検討する考えです。
