3連休の初日、富山県にある世界遺産の相倉合掌造り集落で昔ながらの稲刈りを体験するイベントが開かれました。
富山県南砺市にある相倉合掌造り集落で開かれたイベントには家族連れや地元のボランティアなど約140人が参加し、稲刈りに汗を流しました。
年間契約してくれるオーナーを募って世界遺産の棚田を守ろうと、25年前から続くイベントです。
ここでは昔ながらの方法にこだわり、田植えからすべて手作業で稲作が行われます。
参加者は2100平方メートルの棚田で鎌で稲を刈った後、束ねてさおで天日干しする稲穂のはさ掛けまでを体験しました。
「こんなに美しい景色の下で稲刈りを体験して本当に最高でした」
11月には収穫祭が開かれ、30キロの米がオーナーの自宅に届けられます。
