セブン－イレブン・ジャパンは、これまで店頭でのおにぎりの消費期限を約18時間に設定していましたが、これを1日半から2日程度に延ばす方針です。　
So far, Seven-Eleven Japan has set the expiration date for onigiri in stores to be around 18 hours, but they plan to extend this to about one and a half days to two days.
保存料は使わず、製造方法の見直しや配送する時の温度を一定に保つことなどで鮮度を維持する方法を検討しています。　
They are considering methods for maintaining freshness by considering the method of production and keeping the delivery temperature unchanged without using preservatives.
廃棄量は半分程度減る見通しで、大幅な食品ロスの削減につながるとしています。　
The amount of waste is expected to be reduced by about half, which will significantly reduce food loss.
今年3月以降に順次、消費期限の長い商品に切り替える方針です。
