茨城県大洗町にある高速実験炉「常陽」について、原子力規制委員会は新規制基準に適合しているとして審査書を正式決定しました。　
The Nuclear Regulatory Authority has officially decided the evaluation document for the Joyo experimental fast reactor in Oarai, Ibaraki Prefecture, is deemed to be in accordance with the new regulatory standards.
常陽は1977年に実験炉として運転を開始しましたが、2007年にトラブルで停止してから長期間、運転していません。
Joyo began operating as an experimental reactor in 1977, but has been inactive for a long time since it was shut down due to a breakdown in 2007.
26日の定例会では停止の原因となった炉内への部品落下について改めて議論となりましたが、安全性は確認されているとして今後、保安規定の審査のなかで引き続き安全性を検証していくことになりました。

常陽を運用するJAEA（日本原子力研究開発機構）は、廃炉が決まった「もんじゅ」に代わって1世代古い常陽を再稼働するため、2017年3月に審査を申請しました。
