Many schools are quitting or rescheduling school trips due to the new coronavirus problem

NHK asked about school trips for elementary school, junior high school, and high school
Of the 21,000 schools that answered, 60% answered ”go”, 17% answered ”thinking whether to go”, and 15% answered ”cancelled”.
Many of the schools that said they would go were changing to a place closer than usual or shortening the period.

Last year in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, there was no school to come on a school trip.
But this year, 41 schools will come from Niigata and nearby prefectures.
A junior high school student from the neighboring Yamagata prefecture saw and made famous crafts in Tsubame city.
The student said, ”I was disappointed that I couldn’t go to Tokyo.
But I had good memories. ”
