A man in his 70s who was fishing in a river was attacked by a bear and suffered serious head injuries in Gifu.

The animal that attacked the man was an Asiatic black bear, which is believed to have weighed between 60 and 70 kg and has not been found to date.
A total of three people, including town officials and members of the hunting club, have been patrolling the area near the site since 9:30 a.m. on the 26th.
