Students investigated what kind of poster they would like to vote for

7月がつ10日とおかは参議院さんぎいんの選挙せんきょの投票とうひょうをする日ひです

July 10th is the day to vote for the Upper House elections

千葉市ちばしにある淑徳しゅくとく大学だいがくの授業じゅぎょうで、どんなポスターを見みたら若わかい人ひとが投票とうひょうに行いきたいと思おもうかを学生がくせいたちが調しらべました

In a class at Shukutoku University in Chiba City, students investigated what kind of posters young people would want to vote for.

投票とうひょうすると遊園地ゆうえんちが安やすくなるというポスターや、少すくない若わかい人ひとたちがたくさんのお年寄としよりの生活せいかつを助たすけるというポスターなど6つを作つくって、学生がくせい260人にんぐらいに見みせました

I made 6 posters, such as a poster that the amusement park will be cheaper if you vote, and a poster that few young people will help the lives of many elderly people, and showed them to about 260 students.

その結果けっか、お金かねが安やすくなるというポスターを選えらんだ学生がくせいがいちばん多おおくなりました

As a result, the largest number of students chose posters that would make money cheaper.

調しらべた学生がくせいは「選挙せんきょは誰だれを選えらんだらいいかわからないので難むずかしいですが、自分じぶんにいいことがあるとわかると投票とうひょうに行いきやすいです」と話はなしています

The student who investigated said, ”Elections are difficult because you don’t know who to choose, but it’s easy to vote if you know what’s good for you.”

大学だいがくの先生せんせいは「結果けっかはお金かねが理由りゆうのポスターが選えらばれましたが、学生がくせいには政治せいじが自分じぶんに関係かんけいあることだと考かんがえてほしいです」と話はなしています

A university professor said, ”The result was a poster because of money, but I want students to think that politics has something to do with them.”

One of the investigated students said “Choosing someone you don’t know in a election it’s difficult, but voting for something good for myself is easy”.

A college teacher said “The result was that posters related to money where chosen, but I want the students to understand the connection with politics”.
