Pacific saury fishing begins; market prices more than five times higher than last year’s
The first ship returned to Hanasaki Port in Nemuro City, Hokkaido on the 18th.
The saury caught by this ship weighed 260 kg.
The first ship to return last year weighed 3000kg, so less than 10% of what it was last year.

It’s the lowest it’s ever been, less than 10% of what it was 10 years ago.
