50% of helpers going to old people’s homes were harassed
In February, Mitsubishi Research Institute surveyed more than 10,000 people working as long-term care workers, such as helpers who go to elderly homes.
According to a survey, 50% of helpers who go to elderly homes say they have been harassed.
Harassment is about doing or saying something that the other person doesn’t like.

The most common harassment was ”violence to the heart”, which was said to be terrible, at 81%.
42% of the respondents were ”violence against the body” when they were thrown, and 37% were ”sexual harassment” when they were touched.

About 30% of people had been harassed and wanted to quit their jobs.
After the survey, I made a manual to prevent long-term care workers from being harassed.
The manual says, ”Go home with two or more people” or ”I’ll tell you what’s going to be harassment first.”
