横浜市よこはましに住すむ外国人がいこくじんが先月せんげつ、１０万まん２２７人にんになりました

The number of foreigners living in Yokohama City was 10,227 last month

横浜市よこはましの外国人がいこくじんの人口じんこうが１０万まん人にん以上いじょうになったのは初はじめてで、５年ねん前まえより３０％以上いじょう増ふえています

It is the first time that the population of foreigners in Yokohama has reached 100,000 or more, and it has increased by 30% or more from five years ago

いちばん多おおいのは中国人ちゅうごくじんで、約やく４万まん人にん住すんでいます

The largest number is Chinese, and about 40,000 people live

最近さいきん増ふえているベトナム人じんは約やく７５００人にんで、ネパール人じんは約やく４０００人にんです

This is the first time the number of foreign residents has reached over 100,000. This number has increased 30% over the last 5 years.

In response to increasing number of foreign residents, the city is attempting to create more foreigner friendly spaces. Including areas where foreigners can discuss matters in their native languages, as well as provide assistance in learning Japanese.
