神奈川かながわ県内けんないにすむ男性だんせいが河原かわらで拾ひろった石いしを熱帯ねったい魚ぎょを飼育しいくしている水槽すいそうに入いれていたところ「まりも」が現あらわれ、国立こくりつ科学かがく博物館はくぶつかんで調しらべた結果けっか、これまで国内こくないで1例れいしか報告ほうこく例れいがない珍めずらしい「まりも」だったことが分わかりました

A man living in Kanagawa Prefecture was putting stones he had picked up on a riverbank into an aquarium where he kept tropical fish, and a ``marimo’’ appeared, and as a result of an investigation at the National Museum of Nature and Science, it was discovered that this is a rare case with only one case reported in Japan so far. I found out it was ”Marimo”

見みつかったのは、まりもの一種いっしゅ「モトスマリモ」です

北海道ほっかいどうの阿寒あかん湖こなどに生息せいそくする「マリモ」と富山とやま県けんなどで確認かくにんされている「タテヤママリモ」の2種しゅに続つづく国内こくない3種目しゅもくとしておととし、山梨やまなし県けんの個人こじんが所有しょゆうする水槽すいそうから発見はっけんされました

It is the third species in Japan, following the ``Marimo’’ that inhabits Lake Akan in Hokkaido and the ``Tateyama Marimo’’ that has been confirmed in Toyama Prefecture.It was discovered in an aquarium owned by a private person in Yamanashi Prefecture.

国立こくりつ科学かがく博物館はくぶつかんによりますと、神奈川かながわ県内けんないの住宅じゅうたくの水槽すいそうの中なかにまりもが現あらわれ、遺伝いでん情報じょうほうなどを調しらべた結果けっか、国内こくない2例れい目めの「モトスマリモ」と確認かくにんされたということです

According to the National Museum of Nature and Science, a marimo appeared in an aquarium at a residence in Kanagawa Prefecture, and after examining its genetic information, it was confirmed to be ”Motos Marimo”, the second case in Japan.

水槽すいそうの持ち主もちぬしの男性だんせいに聞きいたところ、3年ねん前まえ、多摩たま川がわの河原かわらで拾ひろった石いしを熱帯ねったい魚ぎょを飼育しいくしている水槽すいそうに入いれたところ、しばらくしてから石いしの表面ひょうめんに付着ふちゃくした藻もが丸まるくなりだし、去年きょねん末まつになり数すうが増ふえてきたということです

When I asked the man who owned the aquarium, he said that three years ago, when he put a stone he had picked up on the Tama River bank into an aquarium where he was keeping tropical fish, the algae that had attached to the surface of the stone began to curl up after a while. The number has increased since the end of last year.

研究けんきゅうチームでは今後こんご、多摩たま川がわなど野外やがいでの調査ちょうさも進すすめる一方いっぽう、水槽すいそうから見みつかるケースがほかにもあるとみて情報じょうほう提供ていきょうを呼よびかけています

The research team will continue to conduct field surveys in areas such as the Tama River, and is calling for information as it believes there may be other cases found in aquariums.

国立こくりつ科学かがく博物館はくぶつかんの辻つじ彰洋あきひろ研究けんきゅう主幹しゅかんは「一般いっぱん的てきな『マリモ』と異ことなり、温水おんすいの環境かんきょうに耐たえられるなど人工じんこう環境かんきょう下かで増ふえやすい特徴とくちょうがあると考かんがえられる

Akihiro Tsuji, research director at the National Museum of Nature and Science, said, ``Unlike common marimo, it is thought that it has characteristics that make it more likely to grow in artificial environments, such as its ability to withstand warm water environments.’’
