The US Navy’s carrier ”Wasp”, which sank against Japan in 1942 of World War II, was found at a depth of 4,000 meters or more in the South Pacific.
Wasp was discovered by Petrel, a research vessel led by a project led by the late Microsoft founder Paul Allen.
In the last few years, Pettrel has discovered a number of warships such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Italy, which have sunk on the ocean floor.
