Japan Airlines uses SAF on the flight to New York
SAF, the fuel for airplanes, is made from plants and cooking oil.
It is said that the carbon dioxide emitted by airplanes can be reduced by about 80% compared to conventional fuels.
The government wants 10% of the fuel used in airplanes to be SAF by 2030.
