A large-scale fire broke out at the Parliament Building in Cape Town, South Africa
There is great damage such as the collapse of a part of the roof.
There was a report that smoke was coming out early in the morning of the 2nd at the South African Parliament Building in the center of Cape Town.
It is believed that the fire broke out from the office on the 3rd floor, burned into the training gym room, and then spread throughout the building.
Approximately 70 firefighters were dispatched to extinguish the fire, but part of the roof was burnt down and the second floor was also severely damaged.
There is a risk that the building will not be usable in the future.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but according to the city’s safety officer, the fire alarm may have been delayed.
No injuries have been reported due to this fire.
