Mars to investigate traces of life NASA launches exploration vehicle
フロリダ州の空軍基地で30日、NASAの火星探査車「パーシビアランス」を搭載したロケットが打ち上げられました
A rocket equipped with NASA’s Mars exploration vehicle ”Perseverance” was launched on 30th at an air force base in Florida.
After flying for about 7 months and arriving on Mars in February next year, we aim to land on a crater that was thought to have been a lake 3 billion years ago.
Perseverance, which means ”patience” in Japanese, will investigate the traces of life on Mars and will bring back samples of stones, earth and sand, etc. to Earth after about 10 years.
It also means gathering information on whether humans can go to Mars in the future.
