Prime Minister Abe encourages talks with Iran head of Visit to the middle east.

中東ちゅうとう地域ちいきの緊張きんちょうが高たかまる中なか、安倍あべ総理そうり大臣だいじんは、今週こんしゅう末まつからサウジアラビアなど中東ちゅうとう３さんか国かこくを予定よていどおり訪問ほうもんする意向いこうで、地域ちいきの緊張きんちょう緩和かんわと情勢じょうせいの安定あんてい化かに向むけて、関係かんけい国こくの首脳しゅのうらに対にたいし、イランとの対話たいわを促うながすことにしています

In the midst of heightening tension in the middle east, primeminister Abe is due to visit 3 countries there including Saudi Arabia. In the interest of easing regional tension and stabilising the current situation, he will talk with relevant heads of state, and intends to encourage talks with Iran.

イランによるアメリカ軍ぐんへのミサイル攻撃こうげきなどで緊張きんちょうが高たかまる中なか、安倍あべ総理そうり大臣だいじんは、イラン政府せいふが日本にっぽん側がわに対にたいし「事態じたいをエスカレートさせるつもりはない」と伝つたえてきたのに加くわえ、アメリカのトランプ大統領だいとうりょうも事態じたい悪化あっかは避さけたいという姿勢しせいを明確めいかくにしたことなどを踏ふまえ、今週こんしゅう末まつから中東ちゅうとう３さんか国かこくを予定よていどおり訪問ほうもんする意向いこうです

While tensions on the rise due to the recent missile strikes by Iran against the US army, based on Iran’s announcement that they do not intend to cause a worsening of relations with Japan, and would like to avoid such a move with President Trump, the Prime Minister still intends to visit the middle east as planned at the end of the week.

今回こんかいの中東ちゅうとう訪問ほうもんはアメリカとイランの双方そうほうが攻撃こうげきを行おこなった直後ちょくごのタイミングとなり、安倍あべ総理そうり大臣だいじんとしては地域ちいきの緊張きんちょう緩和かんわと情勢じょうせいの安定あんてい化かに向むけた外交がいこう努力どりょくの重要じゅうよう性せいを訴うったえる意義いぎは大おおきいとして、関係かんけい国こくの首脳しゅのうらに対にたいし、イランとの対話たいわを促うながすことにしています

For the visit which comes just after mutual attacks made towards each other by America and Iran, Abe has notioned that there is a duty to promote easing or regional tension and stabilisation of recent events through appealing to the importance of sincere diplomacy, and he will encourage negotiations with Iran.

ただ中東ちゅうとう情勢じょうせいをめぐって、政府せいふ関係かんけい者しゃが「イランの司令しれい官かん殺害さつがい前まえに戻もどったに過すぎない」と述のべるなど、日本にっぽん政府せいふはアメリカとイランの関係かんけいに根本こんぽん的てきな変化へんかはなく、予断よだんは許ゆるさないとみています

However, some government officials said about the situation in the middle east that this represents merely a return to the state of affairs before the killing of General Solemani, and that fundamental change in Japanese relations with American and Iran is doubtful.

このため河野こうの防衛ぼうえい大臣だいじんが９きゅう日にち、イランのハタミ国防こくぼう軍需ぐんじゅ相しょうと電話でんわで会談かいだんしたほか、茂木もぎ外務がいむ大臣だいじんも来週らいしゅう、アメリカでポンペイオ国務こくむ長官ちょうかんと会談かいだんし、今後こんごの対応たいおうを協議きょうぎする意向いこうを示しめすなど、日本にっぽん政府せいふは、引き続ひきつづきアメリカとイラン双方そうほうに対にたいし、自制じせいを働はたらきかけていく方針ほうしんです

Because of this, Defense Minister Kouno held talks with Iranian Defense Army Minister Hatami, and next week Foreign Minister Mogi will go to America to talk with Secretary of state Ponpio to express Japan’s intent to support a cooperative stance for the recent events. The Japanese government is continually a policy of encouraging reciporical restraint between Iran and America.
