宇宙飛行士うちゅうひこうしの若田わかた光一こういちさんは、去年きょねん10月がつに国際こくさい宇宙うちゅうステーションに行いきました

October of last year, astronaut Wakatakōichi left for the International Space Station.

そして、月つきや火星かせいを調しらべるために必要ひつような実験じっけんなどを続つづけていました

He continued with the experiments necessary to study the Moon and Mars.

若田わかたさんが宇宙うちゅうに行いったのは5回かい目めで、初はじめて宇宙うちゅうステーションの外そとでも仕事しごとをしました

It was Mr. Wakata’s fifth time in space, and his first time working outside the space station.

若田わかたさんなど4人にんの宇宙飛行士うちゅうひこうしは、今月こんげつ11日にちの午後ごご4時じごろ、アメリカの会社かいしゃの宇宙船うちゅうせん「クルードラゴン」に乗のって、宇宙うちゅうステーションを出でました

Wakata and four other astronauts left the space station at around 4:00 pm on the 11th of this month on the American company’s spacecraft ”Crew Dragon”.

そして12日にちの午前ごぜん11時じごろ、宇宙船うちゅうせんはパラシュートを開ひらいて、アメリカのフロリダ州しゅうの海うみにゆっくり下おりました

Around 11:00 a.m. on the 12th, the spacecraft opened its parachute and slowly descended into the waters of Florida, USA.

若田わかたさんは笑顔えがおで地球ちきゅうに帰かえってきました

Wakata returned to Earth with a smile.

若田わかたさんは157日にちの間あいだ、宇宙うちゅうに行いっていて、今いままでに宇宙うちゅうにいた時間じかんが日本人にっぽんじんの宇宙飛行士うちゅうひこうしでいちばん長ながくなりました

Wakata spent 157 days in space. This is the longest a Japanese astronaut has ever been in space.

He along with four more astronauts departed the space station on board the American spacecraft ”Crew Dragon” at around 4pm on March 11th.

The spacecraft’s parachute opened at 11am on the 12th and landed safely in the sea off the coast of Florida in the United States.

With 157 days spent in space, Mr. Wakata has now spent the most time in space out of any Japanese astronaut.
