34 years after the Pan Am bombing, former Libyan intelligence agent detained

The U.S. Department of Justice has announced that it has detained a former Libyan intelligence officer who was being prosecuted for his involvement in the production of explosives in the 1988 Pan American airliner bombing incident.
34 years ago in 1988, a Pan Am flight from London to New York was blown up while flying over Scotland, killing 270 passengers, crew and nearby residents.
The person who was detained by the United States was Masoud, a former Libyan intelligence agent.
Masoud admitted to manufacturing bombs and blowing up Pan Am planes in 2012 after the Gaddafi regime collapsed in Libya.
