Holding a meeting for foreign junior high school students to discuss high school matters

東京とうきょうの八王子市はちおうじしで2日ふつか、親おやや自分じぶんが外国がいこく出身しゅっしんの中学生ちゅうがくせいが、高校こうこうについて相談そうだんする会かいがありました

On the 2nd, in Hachioji City, Tokyo, there was a meeting where parents and junior high school students who were from foreign countries consulted about high school.

20人にんぐらいの中学生ちゅうがくせいが、親おやなどと一緒いっしょに来きていました

About 20 junior high school students came with their parents.

会場かいじょうには英語えいごや中国語ちゅうごくご、ネパール語ごなどの通訳つうやくがいて、入学試験にゅうがくしけんについて説明せつめいしていました

There was an interpreter in English, Chinese, Nepali, etc. at the venue, and they explained the entrance examination.

例たとえば、都立とりつ高校こうこうには外国人がいこくじんのための入学試験にゅうがくしけんがあって、日本にっぽんに来きてから3年ねん以内いないの人ひとが受うけることができます

For example, metropolitan high schools have entrance exams for foreigners, and those who have been in Japan for less than three years can take them.

ほかにも、試験しけんのときに漢字かんじのふりがなが書かいてある問題もんだいをもらったり、辞書じしょを使つかったりすることができる場合ばあいがあることを説明せつめいしていました

Also, it was explained that there are cases where you can get questions with furigana written in kanji and use a dictionary at the time of the exam.

この会かいを開ひらいたNPOの人ひとは「子こどもが得意とくいなことや、好すきなことを勉強べんきょうする高校こうこうに入学にゅうがくできるように、手伝てつだいたいです」と話はなしていました

The person from the NPO who held this event said, ”I want to help children get into high school where they can study what they are good at and what they like.”

この会かいは、16日にちに品川区しながわく、30日にちに新宿区しんじゅくくでも行おこなう予定よていです

There are plans for the meeting to be held on the 16th in shinagawa ward and on the 30th in Shinjuku ward.
