The central pressure is 975 hectopascals, with a maximum wind speed near the center of 25 meters per second and a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 35 meters per second. Strong winds of 15 meters per second or more are blowing within 390 kilometers to the southeast and within 220 kilometers to the northwest from the center.

During this time, rain clouds associated with the typhoon are covering areas such as Tohoku, and in Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, 32 millimeters of rain fell in the one hour up to 8 a.m.

In addition, as moist air flows in and temperatures gradually rise after the typhoon passes, the atmosphere in eastern Japan and the Tohoku region is expected to become unstable through the night of the 2nd. There is a risk of heavy rain or very heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas.
