During the Islamic Hajj, People Rest on Japanese Capsule Beds
イスラム教の人がサウジアラビアのメッカとその近くへ祈りに行く「ハッジ」が始まりました
The Hajj, where Muslims travel to Mecca near Saudi Arabia to pray, has begun.
This year, about 2,300,000 people from around the world have gathered.
It is very hot, but everyone walks noon amd night to pray.
サウジアラビアの団体は、疲れた人が涼しい所で休むことができるように、日本のカプセルベッドを２０台輸入しました
A Saudi Arabian organization has imported 20 capsule beds from Japan for tired people to be able to have somewhere cool to rest.
So they have been put in a building near Mecca.
カプセルベッドは、長さ３ｍ、高さ１ｍぐらいの箱のような形で、中で寝ることができます
Capsule beds are about 3m long and 1m wide box shaped units you can sleep inside.
They also have air conditioning.
Each person can use a bed for three hours, free of charge.
ハッジは２４日ごろまで続きます
The Hajj will continue for about 24 days.
