The Liberal Democratic Party will hold a Joint Plenary Meeting of Party Members of Both Houses in the afternoon, and if the official review of the House of Councillors election is finalized, they will begin procedures to decide whether to hold an extraordinary presidential election.

To hold an extraordinary presidential election, the approval of 172 people is required, which constitutes a majority of the total 295 members of the Diet and 47 prefectural representatives.

It is expected that on the 8th of next week, written submissions from members of the National Diet will be made, and the results, including those from the prefectural chapters, will be announced on the same day.
